About

The Indo-Australian Biotechnology Conference was conceived by the Australian High Commission in New Delhi in 2004 to showcase Australia’s biotechnology research. At that time, there were hardly any substantial collaborations in this sector between Australia and India and those that existed were largely people oriented and ad-hoc. The enthusiastic response to the initial conference provided the impetus for an annual meeting to facilitate sharing of research outcomes and develop collaborations. This conference series has played a catalytic role in building linkages between India and Australia and making bilateral scientific collaboration a priority.

The Conference brings outstanding researchers and emerging investigators from Australia and India to share cutting edge research and showcase technological advances through invited talks, poster presentations and networking events. It is the only platform that brings Indian and Australian biotechnology professionals together to share their research and explore partnerships.
