Location
The 15th Indian-Australian Biotechnology Conference will be held in Adelaide, South Australia, in the Adelaide Health & Medical Sciences (AHMS) Building of the University of Adelaide, North Terrace, which is located in the west-end BioMed precinct.
The architecturally-striking $246 million AHMS building is a next-generation university biomedical complex with state of the art facilities and technologies including digital platforms. It houses the most technologically advanced simulation facility in Australasia, and the only Australian simulation facility accredited with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare for excellence in learning and teaching. It is home to 1600 students and 600 health researchers. The location allows for easy integration with the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and is integral to the State’s vision to transform health sciences education, research and patient care.

Getting to Adelaide from the Airport:
Taxi
Taxis/Uber are a convenient way to get to and from the airport. There is a designated taxi rank located at the left of the pedestrian plaza as you leave the terminal building. Fares are approximately AUD$25.00 to/from central Adelaide and the journey takes around 10 – 15 minutes depending upon the time of day that you are travelling. Taxis with wheelchair access, maxi taxis for larger groups and baggage are available on request when booking.
City Shuttle Bus
The airport City Shuttle offers a door to door service from the Adelaide Airport to the hotels in Adelaide.
Bookings are not needed. On arrival please make your way to the Information and Tourism Bookings Booth located on the ground floor of the terminal. The staff will help you with your booking and inform you of the next shuttle time (approximately every half hour).
City Shuttle Bus operating hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday from 8am – 9pm.
Saturdays from 8am – 6pm.
Sundays from 8am – 5pm.

Reaching the Conference Venue by the Free City Tram:
In the city, the free city trams travel in each direction between the South Terrace, Entertainment Centre, Botanic Gardens and Festival Plaza tram stops. The closest tram stop to the conference venue is City West (100m from AHMS Building). The two trams that run west along North Terrace and stop at City West are called Royal Adelaide Hospital or Entertainment Centre. Trams run every 7-10min.
